Today's food lesson: tofu is made by coagulating soy milk and contains a low amount of calories, high in iron, and little fat. It's also front and center in today's deal, which allows you to indulge in some of the best tofu in Northern Virginia at multiple locations: $15 for $30 worth of Korean fare at Lighthouse/Vit Goel Tofu (two locations to choose from).
Lighthouse Tofu, located in Annandale, and Vit Goel, in Centreville, serves up generous portions of your favorite Korean fare in the form of appetizers, tofu soups, meat, and seafood and noodles. All entrees are served with a portion of rice and side dishes, so you will have plenty to nosh on during their dinner hours.
Starters include Pan Fried Homemade Dumplings ($5.99 small/$10.00 large) and Pa Jun (Korean-style pancake). Varieties include seafood, Kimchi with pork, vegetable, and potato ($6.99 small/$12.99 large).
Of course, the main attractions nabbing all the well-deserved kudos are the tofu soups. With spiciness ranging from ‘mild' to ‘spicy spicy,' the soups, served with rice and side dishes, will fire up your palette, one way or another. All dinner soup favorites include Mushroom ($9.50), Seafood ($9.50) (clam, shrimp, oyster, and beef), Kimchi and Beef, and Mixed Vegetables.
Not in the mood for soup? Lighthouse serves up meat and poultry dishes, including Galbi ($17.99). Its delicious Korean BBQ short ribs, served with rice and side dishes. Chicken Teriyaki ($11.99) is also an entrée favorite.
Other seafood options include noodles stir-fried with mini octopus and vegetables in spicy sauce ($17.99).

Absolutely wonderful. Came here after a six hour hike with an empty stomach and big appetite. The food did not disappoint. We started out with an order of galbi and then dived into our soondubu and nurungji. - Christina S.

It's been repeated countless numbers of times but this is definitely the spot to go to for cheap, very good soondubu if not the best in the NoVA area. Best place to go to for a quick eat. I think the longest I've waited for food after ordering was 10 minutes which is really awesome for the area. I've never been disappointed with this place.
