Northern Virginia Magazine Review
The Iraqi transplant (owner Mowafak Ashagra) has garnered a cult following amid ethnic-dining enthusiasts by serving up assorted specialty dishes (knobby lamb shanks appear most weekends) and Persian comfort foods (citrus-soaked salads, charcoal-fired kebabs) -Warren Rojas, Northern Virginia Magazine Dining Editor

I know Iraqi food and this is the best grilled Iraqi food I've had so far in DC and the best kababs period, my wife liked the chicken tika (chunks) very nice different grill flavour I guess it comes from the natural coals they use, and the falafil are perfect especially with a side of hummus. -Moe K.
As a vegetarian, I'm used to ordering falafel at places because it's my only option. Tigris, though, makes the most amazing falafel. I honestly don't know what they do to it that makes it so tasty, but even if I ate meat, I'd have a hard time ordering anything else. -Stephen H.
